Week 1, Day 5

Friday's weather wasn't great. The rain just wouldn’t stop hammering down and many of that day’s activities had been cancelled. While we waited for the coach to arrive, we played a variety of card games and board games to pass the time. We warmed up with tea and coffee, and a sneaky hot chocolate here and there. But when the coach arrived soon after lunch, we were back at home in no time.

This was the last day of our first week participating in the NCS Programme and surprisingly, a lot of us were genuinely sad to go. When we reached Bristol, we were dropped off at Lockleaze Youth Centre. We all said our goodbyes to eachother and our team leaders, David and Mara. We knew that we would still see each other after the weekend but for some of us, it felt like it would be a very long weekend... For others, they were extremely excited about getting to sleep in their own beds and indulging in a steamy shower in the comfort of their own homes.
