We are a group of enthusiastic young people (16-17) determined to stop the discrimination and rejection surrounding the LGBT+ community (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender/sexual and other non-cis identities). Research has found that LGBT+ people are 8 times more likely to develop mental health problems and we want to raise awareness about the damaging effects of prejudice. In 2015, as the new generation, we hope to prevent further ignorance around mental health in the LGBT+ community, by educating those who may not think twice about the impact and consequences of discriminating against LGBT+ individuals.
